Formative Training for United Methodist Laity and Clergy. A Two- Year Academic and Experiential Training 2009-2011. It includes Six Learning retreats.

Tending the Soul is a new version of the Troy Annual Conference's Spiritual Directors TrainingProgram. It has been modified from its earlier incarnation to help specifically at this time of transition in our conferences and in our communities and world. In addition to training in classical one-on-one spiritual direction, a new track is being offered for congregational formation. The retreats will be at the Stella Maris retreat center in Skaneateles, south of Syracuse, and the program is open to anyone in our Conferences.
